End of Chapter 2

 Quarter 2 has been more challenging than quarter 1.The truth is I don't have a slight idea what does HTML means and how it was relevant to my study before but my ICT subject somehow clear my questions in mind.HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the most basic building block of the Web. It defines the meaning and structure of web content.One of the biggest advantages of HTML is that it is free of cost, and there is no need to purchase specific software. I also learned about the 2 kinds of tags;Stand Alone Tag andContainer Tag.By HTML tags and codes,I can easily put a background color/picture that I desired to.I can also change the fonts,font size,and pictures that are relevant to my topics.At first I thought that was it, however I'm surprise that I can made a form and tables through it. HTML permit me to add links of my references in every article I made under it.

At first weak, I got so confuse on how to properly use the tag and where to put the words and everything.It was like doing something foreign and new to me because I literally don't have any idea how it suppose to work.Moreover, I can only relay to my modules and don't have any sources so that makes it more complicated.However,as time goes by I slowly learn how does HTML works and the relevant of it in my real life.I can't deny the fact that sometimes I get furious whenever the outcome of my HTML isn't supposed to be.I choose to dealt these issues by not giving up and doing my best to try and try until I can get the right results.

Moving on,I will do my best to understand, interpret and enjoy the new lessons I will discover next Quarter.I will try to become more responsible and make sure to pass everything on time too.Honestly,I don't know how learning HTML relevant to my real life and my future profession, but I will still treasure the learning from it because maybe someday I can use and apply it.

Kannawidan Festival 2022

Celebrating Festivals is a big part of the Filipino culture.Filipinos love to get involved with lively and fun gatherings especially when their whole family is present and complete.One reason why we celebrate these kinds of events is to honor and remember the different saints they believe have miraculous powers.It’s one of the best things about being a Filipino!The sights, the sounds, the people,the food!Oh, and lest I forget, it’s not just about the day of the festival itself, but the weeks of preparations beforehand and all the cooperation among friends and family to pull it off. Those are the moments that strengthen connections between families to the point that my parents, aunts and uncles can name their second or third cousins. All those make for great memories.However due to COVID, many events and festivals were canceled for the safety of everyone.

Ilocos Sur particularly Vigan City are known for having a lot of Indigenous festivals that are celebrated every year.Sadly,these festivals were canceled due to the said pandemic. However we're delighted and lucky that Kannawidan Festival somehow resume.Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is one of the famous festivals in Ilocos Sur. It celebrates Ilocos Sur's abundant culture and traditions, and its separation from Ilocos Norte.After being pospune.This said Festival were held at Tamag Vigan City.

For the grand opening, they prepare an Dacing Fountain Show and a Fireworks Display that was held at Plazs Salcedo and Bicentennial Park.On day 2,Longganisa eating contest & traditional game and Saniata ti Ylocos sur Coronation Night 2022 that was held at Quirino Stadium and witness the whole production with celebrity hosts, Max Collins and Marlon Stockingher and Miss Universe Philippines winners,Rabiya Mateo and Beatrice Luigi Gomez.At third night, there's a dog show, chef wars and LGBT night too. On January 4,Art competition, Game fowl expo and concert tribute to frontliners were carry out. For the 5th day, bike race, car and motor show, game fowl expo and rhythm fest.On day 6,Bike race(day 2).And the last schedule that will still held on February 12 was Kannawidan Derby and Bakbakan sa Ilocos Sur.If you're surprised by that many amusing activities and events then I should inform you that there's more.In addition, there's also a Concerts that was lead my chosen
local celebrities, bands and influencers.Some of it were the December Avenue,Agzunta, Jamil and etc.

 Undoubtedly, Filipinos always have a way to celebrate everything that was why admidts pandemic we pursue and continue this events and make sure that everything will go consummately.

Better Version

Another year passed by like a wind. It was now 2022.Everyone has this thing called "New Year's Resolutions".Every new year people choose things they wanna change for the betterment of themselves.Probably about fixing and improving their physical appearance or a new hobbies,fixing relationships with other people or anything connected to their inner selves like values.

My new year's resolutios was maybe  to fix my sleeping schedule because it's already running my health.I also want to start eating healthy and exercise for my own good. Some people new year's resolutions was to stop spending money. I think it wasn't applicable for me. I might still want to spend some of my savings from buying things that I personally love. It wasn't bad because money was meant to spent and not to step aside forever, however we need to limit ourselves and be wise by using it.It isn't illegal to treat yourself sometimes after all.

I will continue doing things that I love and stay away from the things that can possibly destroy my peace.The old habits that did nothing for my betterment.I wanna face my traumas and fear that I've been encountering for the past years and overcome it all. Give up the bad memories and forgive the people that aren't even sorry for the things they intentionally did. I don't wanna install resentment in anyone this year anymore because I know that they don't deserve my hatred either,it wasn't worth it. I won't let myself spent time thinking about the people that don't even feel a slight guilt for hurting me. If I have thing that I learned in 2021 is that you only have yourself. No matter how many friends you have right now, you will always be alone in the end. Therefore, you need to learn how to be independent and not to be too dependent by other people that are only temporary.I wanna apply this lesson on my journey this 2022.I won't stop myself from socializing with other people however learn how to stop and limit myself.

Pandemic isn’t an exception to squeeze out the Spirit of Christmas

Christmas in the Philippines is like no other. It is filled with celebrations and customs. Filipino Christmas means lights, music, feasts, and time spent with family and friends.Surely, Christmas is definitely “more fun in the Philippines” the country with the longest celebration of Christmas. The loving nature of Filipinos and strong faith in God is so pure, making Christmas the best season to embody it. There is something about Christmas that makes Filipinos feel so centered.However how can Filipinos celebrate Christmas if there were this pandemic? Was it still the same tho?

The Celebration of Christmas Season in last year was pretty boring.People can’t go out, travel and do what they use to do like caroling in strangers houses.It wasn’t as colorful, happy and significance as before because of the large impact of this pandemic in our lives. However, we’re glad that everything was slowly going back to normal. Now, we’re sure that we can celebrate this upcoming Christmas without minding too much about the virus and celebrate like how we use to in the previous years.We all know that Filipinos do everything for this event right? Even when they don’t have money, they are taking effort to borrow just to make sure they have something to prepared in their tables and so the can give presents to their love ones. This stand alone, prove that we won’t let this pandemic ruin our way.

It is only a matter of 13 days before Christmas!Surely, Filipinos won’t let this go off without preparing and celebrating it because for us, it was the most important event in the whole year not just because of the enjoyments and fulfillment, but because this was the day that our Savior was born.Damn Weather.Damn money.F*ck COVID-19. Our celebration of Christmas should not be dampened by these!Christmas 2021 may be unpleasant for many, but let’s mak
e the 2022 the best for all.Let us spread more hope, peace, joy and love this Season!

For the furtherance or worse?Right or the only option?

 They always say education is the key to success. However, while in process of outstretching your goal, there’s a big tendency that you’ll fall, broke down badly to the point that you can’t even stand again because of the risk you made in the process.Is this new system really intended to teach nor the only option for the necessitous and unfirtunate dreamers?For the furtherance or worse?

Just like chopping of a Hydra’s head.You cut off one head, two more would regrow its place.It’s like getting two more questions for every one answer.My point is this new system is endless.They will give you the given tasks whitin a week and after you finished answering it, then there are more and more and more consecutive tasks.It was exhausting and tiring. Synchronize both responsibilities in home and school is also very hard but there’s no way out.

 Are we really learning or just the mentality that it was a waste of time if we let another year pass without enrolling?We can say that students answered the given tasks on the right time, however we couldn’t conclude that it was easy,enjoyable and effective.How about the anxiety, depression and stress this thing brought to every students then?While trying hard to reach their goal, they neglected and forgot to care about their physical, emotional and mental health.Some even forgot to connect to the real world.They destroyed their present while trying too hard to build their ideal future.

 So tell me, is this really focuses on the right of the students or the will and desire of those who are in a higher positions?

 There are billion of reasons to give up, and I know you’ve thought of it but you didn’t. Let your dreams and goals be the reasons be your guide to be motivated and continue what you’re doing. So if you’re looking for a sign and maybe it’s the sign you’re looking for. If no one has said it to you yet, you’re doing great and it wasn’t easy, it was never easy but what matters is you never give up no matter how complicated this new educating system is, no matter how many complications you face.Let us all fight for our right so no one will left behind. Remember, someday your sacrifices will paid off more than what you expected it to be.

Learning ICT is a blessing in disguise of a curse.

 I started taking ICT(Information and Communications Technology Images) in grade 7 as a subject. I must say I’m having difficulties in understanding and comprehending its every topic until now. Maybe because it was my first time taking and learning it or me completely having no interest about computer and technologies neither.

In this quarter, I learned new things that were connected to internet and technologies.The history and chronology internet, web browsers and it’s part, internet services and tool, web pages and URL’s, data formats, internet servicing tools, and the fundamental components of the Internet. More importantly blogging;the definition, types of it, how to use, edit and post. Furthermore on how to cite the sources.

At first, I thought blogging would be uninterested and just a waste of time for us students to learn.I was having trouble on how to properly use it because it was my first time and I was unfamiliar to every bit of it.I don’t know how to change the layout and theme at first. Moreover I was also confuse on editing and locating the photos of my blogs. However,as the time goes by, I started to get used, enjoyed and appreciate using it. Posting your thoughts, commenting with your fellow blogger, editing your layout gave me different kind of pleasure. It was like my safe place.

The truth is I’m not really having a hard time creating my content in my blogs. Probably because I enjoyed and loved writing since then, it was the other way to express myself. Furthermore, the tasks on my modules wasn’t that laborious since you can browse the answers on concept notes. Some of the problems and difficulties I may encountered is time management because I just take the action whenever it was near the due date,I always tend to rush things however I was glad that I finished everything on time. Lack of internet wasn’t a big deal to me tho.

Moving on, I will try my best to be more responsible for my time management.Despite of having no interest in internet and this subject, I will try to strive and put an effort to improve my knowledge and skills. I must say this subject really did gave a big impact within me.I can now appreciate the worth of it specifically in terms of this education setup within this pandemic. We mostly use computer and internet to communicate, I can also use the knowledge to type my tasks, print or send my answers through online. If it wasn’t because of it I was maybe still clueless on how to properly use and browse computer. I won’t be able to discovered new features and things too.

Just a minute to destrustion;Make a move, now!

 We truly cannot understand the real worth of the environment. But we can estimate some of its importance that can help us understand its importance. It plays a vital role in keeping living things healthy in the environment.The environment gives us countless benefits that we can’t repay our entire life. As they are connected with the forest, trees, animals, water, and air. The forest and trees filter the air and absorb harmful gases. Plants purify water, reduce the chances of flood maintain natural balance and many others.

In the first paragraph we do realized what and how our environment helped us. However, reflect on your action.Do you think you're worth of it?Are you doing something in return or you're currently on the opposite direction?Are you making the environment a better place or slowly causing it to destrust? 

These are the simple ways on how you can protect and take care of the environment. First,reduce, reuse, and recycle.Next cut down on what you throw away.Volunteer is an important way, volunteer for cleanups in your community;you can get involved in protecting your watershed, too.Fourth, educate,when you further your own education, you can help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources.Fifth,conserve water;he less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.Sixth, shop wisely;buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.Moreover, use long-lasting light bulbs; energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions.You can also flip the light switch off when you leave the room!Furthermore, Planting a tree because its provide food and oxygen. Lastly,walk or use bicycle when your suppose to be destination is not so far away so that the air pollution will be lower.Following the government policy is a must,don’t do things that are prohibited ,instead join their programs and activities that are related in taking care of our environment.

We need to think and make a way to protect the environment by engaging the community in leading an environmentally conscious lifestyle.Our simple actions and decisions may lead to big difference that can change the suppose to be fate of our demolition world.Choose the right path.Clean, take care and improve our environment. It's not too late to make a move.Think about the effect of your little action for the future generations,would you let your future daughter or sonbear with dirty and harmful environment whitin their everyday living? Let’s take a step towards a better,happier and healthier environment.
