Destruction is inevitable, but a simple action lead to great conclusion

Most people don't realize the effects of their actions, and the huge impacts that simple decisions can make. That needs to change I could go on and on about all of humanity's flaws-and trust me,there are a lot--but today I'll only discuss one:Proper Waste Management.Waste management can be defined as all the activities that are required to manage waste from the point of collecting the waste to recycling and monitoring. The tasks of solid-waste management present complex technical challenges. They also pose a wide variety of administrative, economic, and social problems that must be managed and solved.Toxic waste works its way into the environment;the air, water, and soil.It increases the risks of diseases, destroys nature, and threatens species' livelihood. Toxic waste also affects us because we eat the animals that have the toxic waste inside of them.Animals that eat the animals that have been affected by toxic waste can also be poisoned, and with the food chain so broad, you can see how catastrophic that can and will be.

In the late 1970s the 3 Rs, that stands for ‘reduce’, ‘reuse’, and ‘recycle’ were introduced to give the public a guideline for reducing waste. In 2013, writer Bea Johnson published her book ‘ Zero Waste Home:The Ultimate Guide to Simplify Your Life by Reducing Your Waste. In this book, she added two more Rs to the list, Rot and Refuse. She presented the five Rs as a framework to produce as less waste as possible. Her goal is to help households and businesses to recognize the habits that lead them to produce more waste.First is refusing;it is about eliminating waste from the beginning and declining offers for free stuff that would result in instant waste.Second, reduce stands for reducing what is being purchased and being aware of what it is you need and what you want.Third, before throwing away something and replacing it by a new one, households and businesses are advised to first see if they can reuse or repair it.Furthermore, rot stands for composing, which is also a way of reducing the amount of waste.Lastly,as a last resort, there is recycling. If you have to throw away something, then recycling is known for being the most environmentally friendly method for waste disposal.

There are many ways in which we can contribute towards proper waste management. And though it may not feel like an individual can do that much,if everyone did their part, our planet wouldn't be such a mess Some of these strategies, such as education and petitioning, can be used for almost all other important issues in our society too, from racism to health, poverty, and more!Remember, being aware and caring is going a step further than many others.Support Non-government organizations that seek to solve environmental problems particularly solid waste such as the Mother Earth Foundation and Clean and GreenFoundation. Moreover, you mayl also want to support the ABS CBN bantay kalikasan wherein they use their media platform to make the people aware of the environmental problem. Furthermore, advocating greenpeace that  aims to change human norms and perspectives on the treatment and protection of nature is a must.Influence your families, friends and acquaintances on simple ways can be a huge help too.We all have the same goal in mind, which is for our Earth to not prematurely die.

I worry one day soon we will all start to lose what we've built to something entirely dominated by the systems themselves; or for the loss of freedoms and equities that we've come to love, yet not nearly enough. And I know you share my concerns for low-income, vulnerable groups, and number one--the environment, the whole system,Our Earth, my dear friend.I want to stop pretending that violence is some kind of adventure. And that there's no fun without the stress of survival right in our faces; or a good cup of java.Or that the sun stops coming up if we forget to compete.Or that we don't have a choice, but to continue as is.I'm calling us out.I want people to feel a world that does work. And that's nature itself-and not interfered with--in a world full of stewards who lovingly act for the sake of the planet and not for themselves.I choose to live in my world, 'til others can join me, no matter how long this joining might take.

End of Chapter 4(Epilogue)

I have learned that FrontPage is a graphical HTML editor. It enables us to create Web Pages using familiar word processing:you add and format text, pictures and other page contents using menus and toolbar buttons. Software package is user friendly that it allows web designers to:create webpages offline, create multiple webpage website, integrate complicated website artwork and graphics with minimal fuss, add audio and video and lastly create safe-pay options.Furthermore, the parts of MS Front page was notable to learn or atleast familiarize in order to make your own MS Front page. These are tge title bar, menu bar, toolbars, formatting toolbar,Web Page Name,Web page Window,Insertion point, scroll bar, estimated download time. Moreover the page view tabs;design view, split view and code view.I also learned how to make my own Microsoft Front page through the step by step process provided in our concept notes.

This quarter was easier but monotonous compared from the previous quarters. The tasks are more into answering of module questionnaires and don't have a lot of performance tasks unlike before. I have a difficulties answering the questions for the reason that I can't find the answers in concept notes.I have been very irresponsible and reckless with my decisions this quarter resulting to not pass my other subjects on time compared to how consistent I was before.Howeverin terms of ICT subject I don't think I have a problem with it since I think I passed all of my partial fulfillment on time.I dealt with that concern by researching more information through different websites particularly Google and YouTube.

Moving on I will treasure all the learnings I gathered this quarter and even from the previous one.I never thought that ICT was this useful, amusing and marvelous.I hated it since the first time it introduced to me on 7th grade because I always thought I wouldn't use it on my future career.Right now that it's almost the end and and with the realization that I would probably never have a subject like this again since I will be taking non-related technology strand and course in the future,I finally appreciated how learning ICT changed me as a student and individual. Even though we're already done,I will probably still keep posting on this blog account once in a while as it became my comfort zone already.

Father's Day

The history of Father’s Day dates to the 1900s in Spokane, Washington, thanks to an American named Sonora Smart Dodd. After her mother died in childbirth, she and her five brothers were raised by their widowed dad, a civil war veteran. As she was listening to a Mother’s Day sermon, she came up with the idea of devoting a day to honor her dad, William Smart. The tradition was first celebrated on June 19, 1910—her father’s birth month—in the state of Washington after discussions with the local ministers.

Influenced by American culture, the Philippines has been one with the world in commemorating Father’s Day every third Sunday of June. In a presidential proclamation (Proclamation No. 266) by late President Corazon Aquino issued in 1988, she declared the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day and the second Sunday of May as Mother’s Day.Normally this is celebrated through children thank their father for the efforts and contribution they make towards the family. They buy gifts, heartwarming cards, organize outings, and dinner.

I grew up as Daddy's girl but as I got older our relationship slowly crumpled up into pieces. It's not the same as before. The comfort and admiration I felt towards him turned into anger and despise. As time goes by I learned to reflect on my actions and he did too.My father wasn't perfect;no one is.He made a lot of mistakes and a lot of toxic trait but that imperfections made him a perfect dad for me.I may not express it through my actions and words but I'm truly grateful of everything he did to me.He always spoiled me and give everything I needed to even though I never asked for it.The best gift this Father's day is forgiveness.Forgive your father for the things he did that have hurt you and your family.Forgive him for the times he act and spoke out of anger and not love. Forgive him for the times he failed to provide.Forgive him even if you think he doesn't deserve it.Our fathers need fresh beginnings too.So if you're reading this, express your love with your dad in any way possible and don't be foolish like me.Make them feel like they're enough not only on father's day,but everyday.

Independence Day:Rise Towards the Challenge of a New Beginning

“On this battlefield, man has no better weapon than his intelligence, no other force but his heart.”
-José Rizal

Independence Day is an important date in the history of the Philippines. On June 12th,1898,the Philippines became a independent country after a long struggle against Spanish colonization. The event marks the end of 400 years of Spanish rule over the Philippines.Furthermore on 12th June 1898 marks the day when Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the Philippine independence in Kawit. It’s also the first time the Philippine flag was displayed publicly and the music of the national anthem was heard.

It is a day when many people, including government officials, employees, and students, participate in nationwide parades. However, the main highlight is the police and military parade in Manila headed by the country’s incumbent president, followed by a speech and a 21-gun salute. To celebrate Philippine Independence Day,there are a few things you can do.You can watch a parade or go to a park to watch fireworks. You can also attend a party or get together with friends. There will be food and drink available, and many people will be wearing patriotic clothing.Lastly, you can sing patriotic songs and listen to music that celebrates Philippine independence.

The importance of celebrating Philippine Independence Day cannot be overemphasized. The country has been through a lot since then and independence has helped to strengthen the Philippines as a nation.Independence also gave Filipinos the opportunity to form their own government and build their own society. We also mark Philippines Independence Day that further celebrates the rich history, heritage and culture of the Filipino people.

In the wake of a tumultuous presidential election, a devastating global pandemic, and uneasy economic and geopolitical times,it is perhaps wise to reflect upon the history and significance of commemorating such a day.By examining the circumstances under which June 12 emerged as the official Philippine Independence Day,as well as the intended function of national holidays as a whole,we might become better equipped to navigate divided and uncertain futures.Philippines still has yet to achieve true independence-we honor our martyrs and continue the struggle towards liberation for all!

Mother's Day

Mother is a delicate word that sets my heart at ease.Mother,an exquisite eternal bliss. The love is as deep as the icean,it never ends.Thy touch is as sweet as the
roses that forever fends.

Mother's Day is an occasion which is celebrated in various parts of the world to express respect, honor, and love towards mothers. The day is an event to honor the contribution of mothers, acknowledge the efforts of maternal bonds and the role of mothers in our society. It is a day which makes people remember the importance and significance of mothers in their life and is observed as a day to give special emphasis to the motherly figures around the world.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 8 here on the Philippines. It is kind of a big day here. This is largely due to the large place of mothers in Filipino culture.Mom is called the “ilaw ng tahanan”, which means “the light of the home”.This idiom used for mothers in the country describes the comfort and warmth that they bring to the home with their cheerful demeanour. Mothers are the one who, at most occasions sacrifice their own interests just to serve their children. Everyone has various ways on how they celebrate it.Some brings their mother breakfast in bed, taking her out for lunch or dinner, giving her a card or a present, making a special phone call to tell her how much you miss her and love her.

Bliss is temporary, pain is perpetual. The curve of smile may fade, the scars will remain the same. But I'd willingly trade deep cuts over your shy smiles and tiny laughs.Bliss is temporary, pain is perpetual but thing you made me feel;it's eternal.Stand up and let us applaud all amazing mothers on this world. The kind of pain they endure. The struggle they're trying to conceal. Some mothers are both mom and dad. They work night and day just to make sure that their kids live a better way.The distance a mother goes for her children;words can't explain. To be a mom isn't an easy thing, but somehow they make it look like an easy task.Roses are red.Violets are blue. All mom on the world are the best and so we appreciate you.

Binatbatan Festival:showcase the traditional weaving craft

City of Vigan celebrated the week-long Binatbatan Festival of Arts with various cultural events featuring the City’s historical significance as the World Heritage Site. The City is known for its unique architecture combining the Philippine and Oriental structural designs, with colonial European architecture. Binatbatan Festival traces its roots from the abel weaving industry of Vigan which has been in existence even before the Spaniards came to colonize the PhilippinesIt comes from the word batbat, a pair of bamboo stick used to separate cotton pods that come from a tall tree called kapas sanglay. It was celebrated on April 29 to May 6.

The streets were closed, and people congregated in specific areas. The drums are pounding loudly and clearly. The street dancers proudly proclaim "Viva Vigan!" in colorful costumes.Binatbatan Festival street dancers wave their "batbat," some imitating the way used by abel-weavers in separating cottons as they gracefully conduct the process artistically to the beat of drums and lyres rolling along the historic streets of Vigan's heritage city. Binatbatan Street Dancers also have a basket behind them in which they place the cotton pods harvested from the kapas sanglay tree.

I purposely did my blog late so that I could give my personal insights about the Binatbatan Festival. This year's Binatbatan is more likely a reunion to many.I've meet and seen a lot of friends and old aquitaince after the pandemic hit our country that made us lost our social life. After how many years,I felt relieve.Relieve and hope seeing the world slowly going back to how it was. Moreover, the celebration and culture was exactly the same from before like how I described it on paragraph 2.I also want to acknowledge the patient of the dancers and the generosity of the event organizers to make these festival memorable. It was undeniably a hot day however the street dancers still continued to wear smile of pride with our rich culture and heritage.Indeed, the Binatbatan festival has grown to be one of the largest cultural gatherings in the Philippine archipelago

Women Shine During Crisis

“A woman is like a tea bag—you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.”

Women empowerment is the process of empowering women. Some people get women empowerment wrong. It doesn’t necessarily mean that women are weak and need others help.Women are no less than anyone, they just have lack of opportunity. This means accepting and allowing women, who are outside the decision making process into it.Empowerment includes raising the status of women through raising awareness, literacy and training.Women’s empowerment is all about equipping and allowing women to male life-determining decisions through different problems in society.

Women,by nature, are vulnerable. But behind that seemingly fragile frame is a strength that emerges as the need arises. As COVID-19 spread to almost every country of the world, women standing at the frontline–as national leaders, primary caregivers, healthcare workers, scientists, volunteers, rural workers–have played and continue to play an important role in getting the pandemic under control.Furthermore, women carried the brunt of caring for the home while doing their share financially to support the family.

There has been much discussion on leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, with one pattern emerging early on:Female leaders handled the crisis remarkably well.Early academic research on leadership in crisis indicates that women tend to perform better in a crisis. When women lead teams, they bring qualities like compassion, empathy, communication, caring, inspiration and reassurance.By bringing vision and collaboration to the table, women can turn closing doors into opportunities, while introducing new and better ways of doing things. In the COVID-19 context, studies show that women take fewer risks when it comes to protecting human lives.Crisis and conflict affect people on both a social and economic level, especially the most vulnerable which often includes women. That is why it's imperative that women are part of the solutions, plans and decisions made to address this pandemic.

Countries with women who are head of state such as Denmark, Finland, Iceland, New Zealand, Germany and Slovakia have been internationally recognized for the effectiveness of their response to the pandemic. These women leaders were proactive in responding to the threat of the virus, implementing social distancing restrictions early, seeking expert advice to inform health strategies and unifying the country around a comprehensive response with transparent and compassionate communication.

“Ang mga babaeng lider,nagsha-shine (Women leaders shine)during crisis. And ako, pinakita ko ‘yan sa maraming trabaho namin dito sa(And me, I have shown that in many of our works here at the)OVP [Office of the Vice President],marami kaming mga krisis na nalagpasan(we surpassed a lot of crisis)with flying colors,”she told TV host Boy Abunda during an episode of “2022 Presidential One-on-One Interviews” on Wednesday, Jan. 26.She also maintained that being savvy or “madiskarte” should be proven not only through bluster, but through one’s actions.

A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination.A world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive.A world where difference is valued and celebrated.Together we can forge women’s equality.Every woman, everywhere, everyday contributes to so many different avenues in life. The best way to appreciate women’s contribution in society is to give their fundamental rights and social equality. One of the ingredients for success in the fight against COVID-19 is gender balance in positions of power and influence within our societies.Gender parity leads to collaboration and blending of visions, as well as supports the formulation of inclusive and comprehensive solutions. Leadership environments with gender parity lead to healthier, stronger and more consensus-based decisions. On this year's International Women's Day, we should recognize the incredible female around the world that is working hard to get us through this crisis
